Affirmations
Several things have occurred within the last week that give cause for frustration...I have to remind myself to physically step back, take several deep breaths, and find my center.
I vow to pump myself up for every day. I will listen to music that motivates me. I will read what inspires me. I will remind myself that I am a beautiful, confident, independant woman who deserves the best. I am worthwhile. And if I truly believe that, nothing can stand in my way of having an amazing day, week, month, or year except for myself.
I will not be the one to stand in my own way.
While running isn't my favorite thing to do, I am seeing all the benefits of becoming more physically fit for myself and my family. I had a lot of confidence before and now it has only increased. Confidence and self-esteem are directly correlated in my mind--if I have the self-esteem to believe in myself and the confidence to accomplish my goals, I will be unstoppable.
I have never really thought of myself as beautiful. I am a nice person. I have nice eyes. I am tall. Beautiful? Believe it or not, Jake and Evie are the only two who make me feel really beautiful, though I don't always believe it when I hear it. I also pledge to take compliments better--I will believe people when they say nice things about me.
I will love myself more. I will be the person who is a ray of sunshine when she walks into the room. I want to make people smile because I am there.
XOXO,
Sarah

Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI think that objectively you are quite attractive. Your face is getting more attractive as you age. Lots of women peak in their late teens or early twenties, in terms of physical attractiveness. You are going to peak later in life. And, it's not necessary to be in the top 10% of beauty or cuteness to be attractive. If you're in the top third, that's already more attractive than most people. But of course you know that attractiveness is mostly in how you make people feel, and how you are inside. On that score your beauty is breathtaking.
