Oh, Lord--we have a girl!
I must apologize ten million times for the lateness of this post. Our baby girl, Evelyn Rose McCoy, was born Dec. 29 at 7:56pm weighing in at 8 lbs 11 oz and was 21.5 inches in length. She had almost a full head of black hair and the chubbiest little cheeks.
Needless to say, Jake and I could never be so in love as we are with our baby girl. Evie is absolutely amazing. Of course, the first few nights at home were a little terrifying, but once we moved past that, we were alright. For the most part, Evie now sleeps through the night, only waking up to eat two or three times.
Just this week, she has started to smile and giggle. I never thought I could get so much joy out of looking at someone. Since the day she was born, she has been lifting up her head, and now she is even rolling onto her stomach. She's our Super Baby! Super strong, that is.
I never thought I could love someone so much. Jake and I keep telling each other how lucky we are to have such a wonderful blessing in our lives. I don't know what I did to deserve her, but I will take it! :)
With that being said, I will be posting in here at least once a week. We didn't get the internet until last week so it's been a little difficult to post anything. I feel like we were living in the dark ages (haha, just kidding!). I want to thank everyone that has posted comments and sent me emails about the baby. Your support has meant the world to us.
We love you!
Hi Sarah & Jake & Evie. Love your pictures of baby and your comments. Glad your on line now. I tried to post on Jessies blog but it didn't work. Hope this one works. I just don't know how to do these things. Perhaps we will see you tomorrow at Diamonds. We love you. Uncle Tom & Aunt Irene.
