Workin' eight days a week.
Sometimes, it does feel like it, too. I have officially completed the majority of my shift supervisor training in East Peoria! Woohoo! Let's have a party. :0) I only have three shifts left, three shifts of baker's training, and I will be back in my good ol' West White Oaks bakery-cafe.
I have really enjoyed working with this bunch of trainers! They are so knowledgeable and call me out when I take a shortcut or do something incorrectly. Considering that I spent my first week learning where everything was located in the cafe, I think I'm doing all right. I'm getting positive feedback and a lot of encouragement, which always makes a girl feel good!
You want to know how the diet is going? "Meh" is the best word to describe it. I have been doing a fair job of watching what I am eating but am findig it nearly impossibly to kick the soda to the curb. I hang my head in shame, for my only excuse is that it is my only source of caffeine outside of chocolate. I'm hoping that my return to normalcy will allow to get my habit under control.
As you might wonder (why would you wonder this?), I do eat a TON of Panera food, and I utilize Panera's website to the fullest extent! For any of you who are watching the calories or want to know about food allergens, you can check out our nutritional guide on our website. You can alo check out our Nutrition Calculator to figure out the nutritional value and calories of your meal! The Calculator is a big help to me and reminds me WHY don't eat pastries, haha.
One salad I particularly recommend to everyone is our Strawberry Poppyseed Chicken Salad. Not only does it taste amazing, but the whole salad has only 340 calories. Say what? Only 340 calories?! It's true!!
I unfortuately haven't been able to try any new recipes in the last couple of weeks, but I do have some old ones I will post in the very near future. Hope all is well in your world and that you have an absolutely wonderful Fourth of July weekend!
