Wisconsin Roadtrip

Thanks to my wonderful sisters-in-law Jake and I were able to get away for a few days to Cedarburg and Milwaukee.  Aunt Jessie and Uncle Chris helped Grammy and Papa take care of Evelyn while we were away.  And while I know that our daughter was in very capable hands, we missed our little girl like crazy!

For being such a large city, Milwaukee is easily accessible to newcomers and there are a TON of delicious places to eat and unique places to drink.  I most definitely got in touch with my German roots while there and ate more than my fair share of German-inspired cuisine in addition to the multiple beers consumed.

Cedarburg is absolutely quaint.  There are specialty shops left and right, fun shops for knick-knacks, and mills that run off hydrolic power (from Cedar Creek).  I love how you get the small town vibe while in Cedarburg even though you are only twenty minutes north of Milwaukee.

In short, I am in love with the greater Milwaukee area.  I am ready to become a Brewers and Packers fan, drink a New Glarus beer after work every day, and start working on my Wisconsin accent.
