Another 5 bite the dust!

Five more pounds down which means a total of 38 pounds lost! Holy weight loss, Batman.

I ordered new running shoes yesterday which should arrive in the next week, and I will be much more comfortable while jogging...which means more of it. I am slightly jealous of my sister-in-law Ginny for enjoying her runs so much because I will be honest and say it is one of my least favorite activities. I think that if I keep pushing myself to do it and integrate it into my lifestyle that I will eventually love to do it. Until then, I will continue to run to lose the weight and enjoy my alone time.

On the bright side, our strawberry poppyseed salad is back in full swing. I know I wrote about it last summer...because it is my absolute favorite. And it makes watching calories a little easier. I get the salad without the dressing and without the chicken and substitute the fuji apple dressing--the whole meal turns out to 350 calories!

After deciding this morning that I have to retire 3 pairs of jeans and 2 pairs of work pants, I will further my weight loss goal. I will most definitely hit my weight loss goal of 50 pounds by July 13...so I am planning to lose an additional 30 pounds by October 31. This is much more ambitious than my last goal (50 in 7 months), but I am absolutely positive than I can achieve this new goal (30 in 2.5 months). Wish me luck!

I cannot get over the self-confidence this has given me. In fact, I was a fairly confident person to begin with and now I am empowered to do more. It is an amazing feeling to accomplish one's goals.

Love,
Sarah

  1. Keep up the good work, and let me know if you want to join me on my run/walks. Yesterday, I did six miles, half running and half walking.

I, too, hate to run, but it gets easier.
